What local actually means
Every one of these pages says local. Here is what it changes.
- Somebody can stand on the job site
- I have been to my clients’ sites and consulted standing in them. You find out more about what a business actually sells in twenty minutes on a driveway than in an hour on a call.
- Your service area is real places, not a dropdown
- Knowing that Croton and Chappaqua are a particular drive apart is the difference between a service-area setup that reflects where your crew goes and one that guesses.
- You can be shown the thing in person
- Homepage approval over a shared screen is fine. Over a table is better, and it is available here in a way it is not from three states away.
- Spanish, if that is easier
- A lot of the local businesses with nothing online at all are Spanish speaking. I speak Spanish, and that should not be the reason a business goes without.
And what it does not change
- Make you rank. Google does not care where your web designer lives.
- Make the website cheaper. The prices here are the same ones on the pricing page.
- Mean a good website cannot be built from somewhere else. Plenty of people do this well remotely.
Being down the road is worth something, but it is worth less than the work being good. Judge that part first and the postcode second.
Where the work has been
Towns the work has actually been in.
Not a list of places we would like to turn up for. These are where the clients on this site run their businesses, and where I live.
- Croton-on-Hudson
- Sleepy Hollow
- Pleasantville
- Briarcliff Manor
- Chappaqua
- Ossining
- Millwood

Questions
What people ask first.
Do you work outside Westchester?
Yes. Westchester County and the lower Hudson Valley are where most of the work is, because that is where I am, but the county line is not a rule.
Tell us where you are in the quote. If the distance makes the in-person part pointless we will say so rather than take the job and do it over a screen anyway.
Does hiring somebody local actually help my website show up?
No, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling something. Google does not know or care where your web designer sits.
What helps is a site built so it can be read, a Google Business Profile that is accurate and maintained, and reviews. Those are the same work wherever it is done from.
How long does a website take?
It depends on the size of the site and how quickly your content and photos come in. Your quote includes a timeline for your project.
Do I need a plan?
No. You can buy the website on its own at the full price. The lower build price applies when you prepay a year of either plan.
Without a plan we hand the finished website over and you arrange hosting wherever you like. We host the sites that are on a plan, and we do not sell hosting on its own.
The domain and the accounts are already in your name, and the website is yours either way. The form runs through our system, so on handover your new setup takes that part over.
Do you run ads or social media?
Not as part of these plans. Paid ads, daily social posting, and large SEO campaigns are different kinds of work, and the plans focus on the website and how you show up on Google. Running ads properly is a separate conversation, quoted on its own.
